Mobile caving system hire: how the caving trailer works

25 August 2026 · 5 min read

Our mobile caving experience is a portable artificial cave system — over 90 feet of two-level tunnels built into a trailer, with dark sections, squeezes and crawls. It gives people the feel of a real cave with none of the travel, kit or ropes.

How a journey works

Up to six participants enter at a time and take roughly five minutes to make their way through the system. A supervisor briefs each group before entry and staff monitor the route throughout.

We operate 45 minutes in every hour, with 15 minutes for staff breaks, checks and reset. That gives a steady flow of groups without pushing supervision beyond what's safe.

Space and setup

  • 10m × 6m operational footprint of flat, stable ground
  • 8m × 2m trailer, towed into position by our vehicle
  • Clear entry and exit routes plus a marshalled queue area

Is it suitable for nervous or claustrophobic visitors?

The system has exit points along the route and staff can talk participants out at any moment. We brief everyone that stopping is fine, and nobody is pushed through. In practice a lot of hesitant first-timers come out and immediately queue again.

What people get out of it

It's an accessible, genuinely memorable challenge that isn't about strength or fitness. For schools and youth groups it does a lot for confidence; for public events it draws a queue purely on curiosity.

Common questions

How many people can go through in an hour?
With six participants per five-minute journey and 45 operating minutes each hour, throughput is high — we'll model the exact numbers against your expected footfall.
Do participants need special clothing?
No. Everyday clothes and trainers are fine — the tunnels are clean, lit where needed and purpose-built.
